About Starbase
Starbase is the newest city in the Rio Grande Valley on the southern tip of Texas. It is home to SpaceX's primary Starship production, testing, and orbital launch facilities where humanity's future in space unfolds in public view.
The city officially incorporated in May 2025 after residents voted to establish local governance around the SpaceX site. It now operates as a tight-knit company town with world-class manufacturing and an orbital launch pad.
