Prospera is a startup city being built on the island of Roatan in Honduras. Prospera has built physical infrastructure including residential and commercial spaces, and has attracted businesses and residents. Prospera has been one of the most concrete and advanced projects in the charter city space, though it has also faced controversy and legal challenges, including the Honduran government's 2022 repeal of the ZEDE legislation, which Prospera has contested through international arbitration.
