Liberstad is a private city project under development near Kristiansand in southern Norway, founded in 2015 and built on farmland acquired in 2017. Organized around anarcho-capitalist principles and the non-aggression principle, it prohibits national fiat currency in favor of its own cryptocurrency called City Coin and aims to eventually operate private police, fire, and water services independent of the Norwegian state.

Over 112 buyers from 28 countries have purchased plots since land sales began.
