[RE]city is a popup city event held in Recife, Brazil that aims to accelerate the city's social and economic development through web3, blockchain, and regenerative technology. A signature initiative is Capiba, a blockchain-based social currency named after Recife's river, which uses gamification to reward residents for civic participation and collective well-being.

The project is rooted in the Porto Digital tech ecosystem in northeast Brazil and focuses on education, decentralized governance, and demonstrating how crypto infrastructure can directly improve urban civic life.
